IBM A31 and Linksys WPC55ag NG

I have a brand new WPC55AG PC card, I installed this in a IBM A31
Laptop, using windows XP Pro& SVC pack 1. The card works and can connect
to networks.

However, I have two big problems

I am pretty far from one of the routers and when I boot, the WPC55AG
finds the router. If I remove the card, and replace it later without
rebooting, no wireless networks are found.

My biggest problem is windows xp randomly about every 10 minutes shows a
blue screen, saying an error occurred, says dumping memory, then
reboots.

I have no apps running when this happens, tried removing Norton
Anti-virus, nothing helps other than to remove the WPC55AG card
