I want to use the IAS Server to assign IP addresses to the VPN clients. When
I check the appropriate option on the IAS admin console, the RADIUS
Framed-IP-Address attribute returned contains a 255.255.255.254 IP address
and not a valid IP address. How do I configure IAS to assign an IP address?

Can I configure the IAS server to act as a DHCP relay and use an external
DHCP Server to get an IP address?

Any help is appreciated.

thanks,
-ranjeet

Why do you want IAS to assign the IP addresses? IAS is only used to
verify that the client is authorized to connect. The RRAS server usually
looks after such things as network config for the client. The client
receives its network config from the RRAS server at connection time. The
RRAS server can issue IP addresses from a static pool, or it can lease them
from DHCP.

Thanks for the relpy. I am trying to use a Cisco Concentrator with the IAS
server. I can configure the concentrator to let the RADIUS server assign IP
addresses.
I am not sure if I can configgure the concentrator to go to IAS for
authentication and RRAS for getting an IP address. I will try and see if
that is possible.

thanks,
