Remember that EAP will require workstation certificated whereas PEAP just
needs a cert for the IAS server and the CERT Chain on the workstation (you'll
need a CA in your domain.)
You can do MAC authentication, but make sure there you have the updated IOS
on the 1100. For this you'll need a policy that matches the Station-ID as
the MAC. Its tedious to maintain and setup. If you are going to do this
widely, you might think of Cisco Radius server or a third party solution
