I have a DELL PC running WinXPMCE 2002 and HP Pavilion running the same OS.
My Dell is wired into my AT&T wireless router with the HP generally accessing
the Internet wirelessly. However I have tried numerous times, verifying I
believe that all settings are correct, to have the two computers to join the
same workgroup to allow the notebook access to a few files on the desktop and
the printers ditectly connected to it.
However I am receiving the unable to access the network resource, check
permissions, no server for this network found, etc...
I have created many networks before and may be out of practice, but any
ideas as to why these computers would not be able to a workgroup and share?
I have tried the SOHO and wireless wizards with no success. The desktop can
see the notebook but not access any shares and the notebook can never see the
desktop.
Thank you ahead of time for any assistance.

Found this link given before in this Posr Group. However, I confirmed and
tried all the steps outlined and results were the same. Will attempt again
but feel something must be wrong.

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network
settings,http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.
