Seen that re-badged by Edimax in Europe, looks intresting.

Anyone know if the driver will operate in Promiscuous mode ?

I have one. It's decent. It does get hot (its base). Its technical support
is very weak. I never got any replies via its Web site. I noticed it uses
Envara software: http://www.envara.com/ which is now a part of Intel's
Broadband Wireless Division. I am not sure if there will be any more updates
for it.

No support for Mac OS X and Linux though.

I just bought the Hawking HSB1-AP ( HWBA54G) WiFi Signal booster
access point), hoping that will solve my issues with wireles
connections and bandwidth issues between two buildings. After severa
failed attempts to configure the access point through the supplied cd

address 00000000.

I also tried to configure the access point part through going directl
to 192.168.1.240 which is the default IP address of the HSB1-AP, but
can only get to the point where I need to configure the WEB key.
upgraded the firmware per Hawking tech support web site to version 2.2
and that did not solve the problem

I called their tech support and the person who answered was very rud
and unhelpful. Unfortunately he claims to be the supervisor, so that i
another dead end

That is my experience with Hawking products and very poor tech suppor

The Hawkins unit looks like the EW-7317UHg from Edimax, maybe the drivers
