Not sure if anyone has seen this or not, but we have a client who is
attempting to download a file from our Windows 2000 server with IIS 5.0 via
HTTPS and fails everytime. This client has a SonicWall firewall in place (not
sure on the model or software revision, client is not very helpful) and can
get to the files as long as he turns off Stateful Packet Inspection. Since
the user claims he can get https downloads from other sites, he is resigned
to the fact that it is our issue and we need to solve it. Outside the
firewall (from our other sites or just a dial up Internet client,) you can
download these files with no troubles.
I cannot find anything that might be causing this. We have over a hundred
clients preforming HTTPS downloads everyday and this is the only one with
issues. The client is convinced we have an issue. I cannot say we do not, but
this looks like something to do with the SPI on the SonicWall firewall.
Has anyone else ever seen this, and more important, do you know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance to anyone that has any ideas.
