I just got an hp digital home networking wireless USB adapter. The model
number is hn210w. I have a 802.11 Wireless-G Network at my house. All my
other computers work fine on the network, but when I tried to plug this
card into a windows 98 second edition machine I have it doesn't work
properly. The system tray has a green light indicating it is connected
to the wireless network and all my settings are correct, however; the
DHCP server won't assign the computer an IP address. I ran winipcfg,
but it just gives the windows default ip indicating DHCP isn't working.
The wireless card I have is a Wireless-B one, but my Belkin Wireless-G
router should be compatible with it. I have all the updated drivers and
everything indicates it is working properly, and since the DHCP works
for the other computers, I assume it's not a problem with the router.
Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this?
Thanks a lot
