Not much info to go on here, but I just fixed this exact problem for a
client, and it turned out they had a bad USB cable from the print server to
the printer. Could that be it? Its just a guess since I dont know what kind
of print server you are talking about. If its a small single or dual port
print server, then there should be a test button on it that will print its
configuration to a connected printer. See if that button works. If not, you
have a connection problem. If thats not it post more details... what print
server are you using... are you able to ping it from a PC... etc.

Print server as in a actual physical server used as a print server utilizing
R2 Print Management console, not a little hardware server attached to 2
printers... This server houses 35 printers .. All printers are HP jet direct
cards. These printers are setup in Active directory.

Go to TCP/IP port settings on the print server, uncekc the SNMP Status Enabled box. The printers are not replying to the SNMP packets to sent from the print server and thus the print server believes their status is offline. Unchecking the box will disable this test and printers will show online. Simple fix to a real headscratcher.
