Sure. You need two wireless components, one for each machine (some folk use
a wireless router to replace the cable from the modem, too).
For the PC, you could use an internal PCI wireless card (doesn't take up a
USB port, but you can't move the aerial much), or a USB adapter. For the
laptop, a USB adapter or a PCMCIA card (very portable, but you can't move
the aerial at all). Cheapest option I've seen is two USB adapters:

Be sure to turn on "WEP" encryption, which is usually off by default, or
you'll be wide open to the world!
