so many people and so much documentation refer to both "hot spot" and
"hotspot".? which one?

same goes for "wi-fi" and "wi fi"?

Also, when referring to hotspots or public commercial access, is it better
to speak of wireless or wi-fi ? -from a marketing perspective.

out of curiosity - have always wondered.

Hi Nic,

* HotSpot(R) is a registered trademark owned by T-mobile.
* Instant HotSpot(R) is another registered trademark owned by us
(http://InstantHotSpot.com)
* Wi-Fi(R) is a registered trademark owned by the Wi-Fi alliance

All the above trademarks are in their proper form, with each trademark
owner requesting that their trademark always be shown with the
appropriate hypens and capitalization.

Kind regards,

>> HotSpot(R) is a registered trademark owned by T-mobile.

The word hotspot has been in common usage for many years, and in
many contexts. e.g.:

luck with your project :-).
