Hotel has concrete walls throughout - ideas?

I recently discussed installing wifi in a hotel with the hotel
manager. Upon discovering that he has concrete walls in EACH room (who
does this??), and another minor sticking point or two, our
negotiations stalled, as I felt I had to point out that due to those
walls, an AP in each room was possibly needed. Can anyone in here
point to a way around this? This hotel is rather large (seven floors)
and the guy didn't want to wire every room if he could possibly avoid
it.

The rooms do have large windows, so the thought did occur to me to
somehow install repeaters (solar-powered??) on light poles outside
aiming antennae in the windows! But that would likely not cover
everything either, and I'm not sure where such hardware is available
CHEAPLY....

Anyone producing mesh hardware yet...?

You need to try it.
It may well be that one AP per several rooms is quite adequate.

Having surveys many buildings for wireless phone systems you may be
supprised what will get through.

install 11g then tell them its 11b and any extra is a bonus.

Hotels with guests who appreciate quiet and do not want to listen to the
argument / shower / TV / couple banging away in the next room...
