of Irvine, 60 miles south of Los Angeles, and 70 miles of north of

NETWORK SYSTEMS ARCHITECT
Responsibilities:

1) Advanced network systems design, integration and administration.

2) Primary emphasis on design and administration of networks for
corporate enterprise applications, including satellite offices at
remote locations.

3) Secondary emphasis on design and administration of networks for
residential media and control system applications.

4) Responsible for all aspects of a range of IT systems, enterprise
wide.

5) Provide a high level of network security, performance and data
integrity.

6) Coordination and supervision of employees, contractors and
consultants.

7) Creation and updating of IT systems documentation and standards.

8)Creation of scopes of work and other contractual documentation.

9) Insure that all IT systems standards are followed by personnel.

Desired Skill Set:

1) Design, installation, configuration and administration of network
systems.

2) High level of proficiency in network architectures, including:


A) LAN

B) WAN

C) VPN

D) Firewalls

E) Security

F) Access and permissions

G) Network-of-networks

H) Protocols and standards

I) Wireless technology, including 802.11b and 802.11g

J) Understanding of network performance, vulnerabilities and
limitations


3) High level of understanding and extensive experience with the
following:


A) Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP

B) Microsoft Windows 2000 Server

C) Microsoft Exchange Server

D) Microsoft Office 2000 and XP

E) Microsoft Visio 2002

F) Cisco Routers, switches and firewalls

G) Server and workstation hardware


4) Ability to conduct high level and detailed system analysis and
testing.

5) Excellent technical documentation skills, including the following:

A) Hardware and software standards

B) Standard operating procedures

C) Systems descriptions

D) Equipment lists

E) Input/output lists

F) Router tables

G) Block diagrams

H) Flow charts



6) Design of networks for voice, audio, video, data applications

7) Proven leadership abilities with technical teams

8) Software, hardware and network quality assurance

9) Testing and troubleshooting

10)System acceptance testing


High level of Microsoft and Cisco certifications is desired.

Experience with combined audio, video, voice and data applications a
plus.

Experience with high availability networks for military, broadcast,
control system and media production applications a plus.

Experience with: HTML, XML, Java, C++, webpage design, user interface
design, and software development projects also a plus.

Desired majors: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information
Technology, Telecommunications, Physics or Mathematics, with Masters
degree or higher
