Hosts file in Win 98

Need to create a hosts file for TCPIP use on Win 98 PC.
Can't remmebr which folder the hosts file must reside in.
Anyone able to confirm which folder?

It must be in the Windows directory (typically C:\WINDOWS) and be named just
hosts whith no extension.

For the hosts file to be used DNS must be enabled in TCP/IP properties
(which are global, not per-instance). You must specify a host name but you
don't have to add any servers.

On Windows 98 the Hosts file goes in the "Windows" directory.
