The format for the HOSTS and LMHOSTS files remain the same regardless of the OS.
You can put a netbios name in the HOSTS files and sometimes that is needed if you do not
have a domain suffix for that host in your DNS settings and that host is in another domain.

Gary

'--'Hi,
'--'
'--'For hosts and lmhosts files, do I need to put a fqdn against an IP address
