host unreachable

hello
I have:
one LAN 192.168.11.0 with a BBRouter & firewall & DHCP server
one 'chef3000' w2k3 DC ('buisseret-ducci.be') with DNS
one 'vala' w2k3 member server (print server)
one 'chef2007' w2k3 member server (exchange server)
several WinXP PC's in the domain above
one 'boss2008' w2k8-64 DC ('bd.local') with DNS
one 'elle-PC-01.bd.local' Vista32
one linux machine in the same LAN

from one of the WinXP PC's,
ping chef3000 or chef2007 or vala or boss2008 or elle-pc-01 give an aswer

but from boss2008 or elle-pc-01
ping vala or any WinXP PC give an answer
and ping chef3000 or chef2007 gives:
Ping request could not find host chef3000
any clue?

Can boss2008 other computers by IP?

yes boss2008 can communicate with the 2 computers it does not ping
by the way, the bidirectionnal trust works fine between the 2 domains
the only trouble is pinging those 2 severs
