How to host content with windows server 2003

I have Windows Server 2003 installed on my machine.
I would like to know how host applications on my machine so that people
around the globe can download directly from my pc, how do i do this? thanks.

1) Purchase and install Windows Server 2003, and the Windows 2003 Web Server
(~$1200.00). If you use Windows XP you will be limited in number of
connections.
2) Purchase static IP from your ISP and assign it to your Web Server NIC.
3) Preferably, register a domain name and ensure the proper DNS entries are
in place to point it to the static IP of your server.
4) Write web pages that allow for downloading files from your machine.

That's it! Shouldn't take more than an hour or so...

Frankster, thanks so much, that's what i needed. I called my ISP for a static
IP and waiting for them to contact me back. Thanks again.
