Hi,

I bought a new domain name and have a linux webserver set up. My
question has to do with where the "host" command gets its information.
If I type "host mydomain.com" it replies with my ip address
12.34.56.78. But if I type "host 12.34.56.78" it replies with the name
of my ISP-assigned name 12-34-56-78.comcast.net. How do I set
mydomain.com to be the "official" reply to a host query and my ip
address?

Thanks

Kim

Dear Kim,
you have to be very kind to your dear majesty the ISP and
ask your highness to change the DNS-Server-Entry of your
machine from 12-34-56-78.comcast.net to mydomain.com. :-)
Depends on your ISP if they do it for you or not....
Cheers,
Monzai
