Hello everybody,

I replaced and old W2K server with a new one with a
different Computer name. In order to access the machine
with the former name as well I created an alias. The
problem is that W98 machines are not able to find the
host, unless the FQN is specified. For historical reasons
we'd like to keep using the NETBIOS name.

Any idea why it works with W3K/XP machines and not with
W98??

I appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

Cheers!

PS The WINS server seems correct though ...
