After 2 1/2 months of trying to cancel my ADSL with AOL my line has finally
been freed from AOL.

All I need to do now is save up the £70 connection fee and upgrade my
plusnet account.

Assuming you want the full PlusNet service and not the trimmed down one, why
not go for their quick start option, which only costs an extra £3 per month
and includes "free" connection and a free (spare for you) modem. That'll
only be £36 over the year, payable monthly, rather than £70 up front. Just
change to the normal service after a year. Unless, of course, you don't want
to be tied to a 12 month contract.

I can`t be tied to a 12 month contract at present.

I may have to move in the next 12 months but won`t know until 2 months
before the move date

OK. Does it have to be PlusNet? You could go to Virgin and pay £24.99 per
month with a 30 day contract and no connection fee.

HI Robert,

For the record, moving house does not affect your Annual contract with
us - All we do is move your ADSL connection for you when you move. You
do need to pay an activation fee on your new line, which would be £55
+ VAT, but I just wanted to make you aware that this was a
possibility!

Regards,

Ian
