Does anyone have any experience of homeplug networking and changing the
electrical sockets? Wife wants to change from standard white plastic sockets
to brass, flush screwless sockets. Apparently the fronts of these fix on to
the back magnetically and I wondered if this might affect the electrical
signal in any way?

I'm having trouble picturing how those fixings work (given that they'd
have to be reasonably child-secure) but I can happily say that unless a
magnetic field is moving (changing over time) it will have no effect on
signals (or any other sort of voltage/current) carried over a wire. So at
first glance I reckon it'll make no difference at all.

Support a referendum on UK ID cards before they are
inflicted at stupendous cost for negligible reward.

If you get the flush-fronted brass sockets throughout the house you can't
afford the homeplug equipment (or a computer, or anything else).
