Home Setup XP to 98 with ICS

Hi all,


I have been trying to set up my network for a few days now, this was working
before, but had to reinstall win 98 a few days ago and foolishly forgot to
write the settings down, I am running win 98 on a desktop and win xp on my
laptop, I had the Desktop (98) as the server for internet, In an ideal world
xp would be better suited but just not possible in this case, Everything was
working until i reinstalled 98 on the desktop, although i couldnt access
filles on the xp machine from the 98 machine but that wasnt needed, all i
need is to be able to set up ICS with desktop as host and the ability to
browse files on the desktop from my laptop, OK, here we go, im pretty sure
the network cards for both are installed correctly as nothing has changed
there, I have tried installing ICS and so far i have all the clients and
protocols i think are needed installed, i got as far as the laptop now has
an ip assigned by the host(desktop) but doesnt seem to be receiving and
internet connection, anyone who can help it would be most appreciated need
any more info please ask,
