I have a PC, running Win ME, with a LAN Card connected to the Wanadoo
box via an ethernet cable.

I have a laptop, running Win XP, that is connected to the Wanadoo box
via an internal wireless adaptor.

How can I set-up file & printer sharing between the two machines?

Many thanks

On the XP machine, right-click the drive/folder/printer you want to
share and click "sharing"

On the ME machine the principle is the same but you first have to enable
file and printer sharing by right-clicking network neighbourhood, click
properties, then click file and printer sharing.

OK. Once I have done this how and where will I view the shared
folders/drives on each machine?

For file sharing to work you also must make both computers members of
the same workgroup and they must be on the same IP/subnet mask, eg XP
machine as 192.168.1.2 subnet 255.255.255.0 and ME machine as
192.168.1.3 subnet 255.255.255.0

XP> My Network places (but will also show in any explorer window)
ME> Network Neighbourhood.

For ease of navigation and depending on how your hard drives are
partitioned, I would be inclined to map drives on the secondary machine
(machine you use less) onto the primary machine and assign a high drive
letter eg T:, S: etc. (From explorer window on the XP machine choose
tools > map network drive.
