Hi guys,

I have recently set up a LAN at home, after a few minor glitches I
managed to get my two machines to see each other.

Ok, to the question, how do I get machine 2 to access the internet and
e-mail pop/smtp through the lan?

Just to give some info:

Machine 1: (Main System) AMD Athlon 2400+ running 512meg ddr 400 ram,
internet connection via btyahoo broadband, ADSL I think (not too hot on
this), OS MS XP Pro also running zone alarm firewall ver 4.5.538.000

Machine 2: (second system) AMD K6II 500 with 128meg ram and WIN ME

The LAN runs on a 10/100M Ethernet switch unit with 4 ports and 1 uplink
and can run half or full duplex

Thanks for any help in advance

Before I can answer that question i need to know the following

1. How are you connecting to the Internet currently
Dial up / broadband

2. What equipment are you using to connect to the Internet
modem (pstn/adsl) or router ?

Regards
Andrew

I assume you connect via a USB modem. You could use internet
connection sharing but this means leaving 1 of the PC's on permenantly
to allow the other access to it. If you already have a lan the best
way to do it is to put an adsl router straight into the hub.
