I am a Linux newbie and am certainly asking silly questions, but still
hope someone helps me....

I have a home network (2 Win XT connected to a router & cable modem.
One Printer is connected to 1 PC and is shared. everything works OK.
Now I connected a new Linux machine to the router and connects to the
internet perfectly. What I can not succede is to see/access the Linus
PC on the MSWindow Network and viceversa, but I would like to share the
PC and some specific folders or/and drives also between the Win and the
LinuxPC.
I am certainly need to do some gimmicks on the Linux PC, but what?

By the way, I do not want to setup any server or proxy or the like...,
just.
Anyone have some advise?

Depend on the rabbit's foot if you will, but remember, it didn't help
the rabbit.

Hi, Kraadde,

that won´t be possible. you could use an ssh-client to transfer / copy
files between the machines, but AFAIK do you need a ssh-server then on
one machine.

on the other hand, to set up a samba-server on the linux-box is not
that difficult.

if you can read german pages ;-), you could visit this:
