I have a desktop connected to a Belkin router connected to a cable modem. I
also have an HP wireless laptop. The desktop is my host computer. I can
access internet from both desktop/laptop. This morning I created a home
network on my desktop and then on my notebook. Didn't play with it at all,
just saw that it was set up on my desktop/laptop & turned off both systems.
Turned on laptop and there was no network/workgroup set up on it. My desktop
has both computers listed as in my workgroup, however when I click on the
laptop name it stated " __is not accessible. you might not have
permission....the network path was not found" I tried to set up the home
network again on my notebook. Still nothing. Do I have to delete my
network/workgroup (desktop/laptop) on my desktop and start all over or what.
I can still access internet from my laptop. I tried system restore on my
notebook and it shows that my workgroup name/etc. will default to that date
(which I kinda wanted) but I wasn't able to restore. (don't know why since
the notebook is only a couple weeks old but thats another issue I'm not
concernedd about at the moment). I just want to share files from each
computer. Any suggestions

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.
