HOLZMAN CENSORS WEBSITE

After reading his website guestbook last week and seeing some comments
that rang of truth but didn't give the "proper" back-patting that Carey
loves, he has deleted those entries. What remains is the vanilla "thank
yous" that, since they contain no email to check their validity or true
origin, smack of self-posted claptrap and the subsequent self-indulged
vanity that this self-appointed guardian of our computers loves so much.
There was a point where this website might have been considered as
somewhat usable if not disjointed and confusing, but now that it is
censored and "air brushed" to make Holzman look good mainly to himself,
it's nothing but internet noise, nothing more. Be advised. If you are
taking advice from this self-righteous yapper, think again.(have you
noticed all the "selfs" in this Carey?) Wait for some of the others that
offer you more than his own website, such as it is, to wade through.
You ask why I bother to bring this to the attention of this group and its
users? When someone has the gall to delete postings he has invited in the
first place, just because they are less than flattering, we can begin to
beware of anything that he does.

He at least should go into his header and change the "title" so that "Fix
peer-to-peer network problems in Windows Millennium" doesn't always
appear in the title bar of most browsers. OF course, if you design pages
for just the Internet Deplorer and don't know how to design for ALL
browser platforms, Netscape all versions, Opera, to mention a few, this
is what you get. Most webpages are NOT designed by using "microsoft
officeword smarttags." All this is a copy/paste of lots of sites he
found, pop them into a Word document and save as "html." It's the AOL
method of webpage design. No wonder when suggested that he try anchors
and link tags he deosn't know what you're talking about. He needs to do a
quick search of keywords, "basic html language" and then do some trial
designs and let this newsgroup advice to others that actually have
advice. Just responding to posts and quoting your url to build up a page
count is like sending yourself Valentine's Day cards.

Well then he goes to the webpronews.com page and doesn't even have it
break out of frames. Instead, it's tucked into a little part of the
screen alongside that shitty brown frame on the left. You might try a
little search on "target_main, top, etc" to fix this mess.
