Hallo,

wir brauchen etwa 100 Meter Kabel mit einen Nennspannung von groesser 2
kV. Jeden, den ich frage, raet mir erstmal Koaxkabel zu "schaelen", aber
wenn ich dann die Laenge nenne...

The question is, what has this to do with Linux/networking,
despite the fact that you didn't used the language of this ng.

Wie dem auch sei, frag einfach mal bei Deinem ??rtlichen EVU, die
kennen sich mit sowas aus und k??nnen vieleiht sogar mit einem
Trommel-Rest von einem 10kV Erdkabel aushelfen?

This cable will be used to connect two devices, somewhere
in the vicinity is a Linux disk, a computer with an OS and he
has to do some computation 100 m * 2 kV / x fudge factor
=> comp.os.linux.networking

Or as he is at an university, presumably from (theoretical)
physics, he could hop over to the electrical engineering
department (*) (where the big machinery is, not the small
chips) and ask there. But this is:
a.) too complicated
b.) it's easier to get help from outside than from a
sister department.
