I am trying to determine why I have such high packet losses on my VPN server.
It is a Windows 2000 SP4 server using PPTP. Can anyone provide me with tools
that I could use to troubleshoot this problem or any possible causes? Some
users have this problem and then some don't.

Thanks -- dee

Hello,

netstat -e
check for the error line

Check both server and switch port are in auto or BOTH forced speed and
duplex (except for 1000)

last chance: packet sniffing with wireshark or Microsoft Network Monitor 3.1

Thanks for your help. Discovered one of the switch port speeds didn't match
the server.
