Thanks for the replies so far, it seems that a lot depends on how happy the
BT engineer is when he arrives. There's more to this than meets the eye for
a newbie to ADSL anyway!
Does the following sound reasonable (and correct!)
Downstairs master socket (presumably BT will fit a ADSL(splitter/filter)
faceplate with RJ111 & BT phone socket(connected to sky box & main DECT
phone), a normal ext in place of the HH box upstairs into which will plug a
splitter/filter (or both?) into which sky(BT phone socket) & adsl via 2 an
inline adapter connecting rj111 to rj45 and then rj45 to rj111 at the other
end into the adsl router.
I hope this works and that BT don't make me wait a couple of weeks before
comming out, after all I feel as if I have waited long enough for broadband
as it is.
