I just bought a Sony Vaio media center pc, and upgraded my home network with
a Netgear 108 Mgbs G router. I connected the Sony to the router with a
standard ethernet cable and use the wireless router to share an internet
connection (cable broadband) to another desktop (with a Netgear USB wireless
connector) and a laptop (with an internal wireless card).
No problem with the internet connection on all three computers (before and
after WEP encryption).
The problem, however, is with file sharing between the three computers.
I've tried the so-called wizard, using both the network setup configuration
("mshome" as the network name) and the wirelss configuration ("netgear" as
the name), but neither works.
I thought this was supposed to be simple, with Windows XP.
