Hi,

Has anybody else managed to setup the 645R with BTO? I used to use it
sucessfully in London with another provider (wires only) but can't get it to
work with BTO. Here I have a BT installed wall socket rather than wires
only - does anyone know if this makes a difference?

Below are the configs I have been trying without sucess...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

It makes no difference.

The config looks right, assuming that this is one of the older ZyXELs
that says PPP when it means PPPoA (if you can set encapsulation as
PPPoA, do so), and that the user name and password are correct.

What do the logs show - anything that may give a clue as to what is or
isn't working?

If it really doesn't want to work, there was another case on here of
someone that couldn't get another ZyXEL router to work correctly until
he reset the configuration to factory defaults and configured it again
from scratch.

If you want to try that, then one way to reset is to go into menu 24,
option 8, which gives you the command prompt.

The command you want to issue is

sys romreset

Be aware that, amongst other things, this will reset the router's IP
address to the factory default (most likely 192.168.1.1).

Best of luck with it.
