I am trying to help a friend get back online with her Freeserve
account. Basically the obscure modem she had has died and has been
replaced by a Zoom 5510 following a recommendation at Dixons. They
recommended it for use on Freeserve. The PC is running Windows XP. I
have amanged to get them to install the drivers that came with the
Zoom modem and judging by the modems status page that can be called up
in Internet Explorer it looks like it has connected to Freeserve ok.
The login and password are entered in the modem setup page. Thats
about as far as they can get. They cant ping anything or connect
anywhere. We are not sure if they need to create a dialler still or
how it even connects. I am hoping someone else has this combination
and may be able to shed some light on how to connect to Freeserve with
it. Their user support is not very helpful.

TIA.
