So for the past 2 months, I have been having problems with my wireless
connection. It is not sending and receiving packets very fast. Every now
and then it will start to receive and send packets fast for about 24
hours and will help keep the internet connection fast as well. But the
majority of the time, it sends and receives packets very slowly, which
in turn makes the internet slow. Here is the connection I have:

HP WLAN 54g W450 Network Adapter

I have ran a Spyware program and Norton Antivirus and nothing is shown
to be infected on the computer, in addition, I have no firewall set up
or anything like that. It has just become very frustrating because I
don't know what is causing it to do that and how to fix the problem. So
I would really appreciate it if someone with any knowledge about what to
do could please help me! Thanks!

If you have a router, have you done a hard reset of the router? If you have
a router, have you flashed the router, because the firmware can become sick
on the router and needs to be reinstalled?
