Hi All,
After my router died, I've replaced it with a Linksys 54G wireless 4
port ADSL router. As this leaves me with a spare Buffalo Airstation
11mbps wireless access point, what I wanted to do is to set the WAP up
downstairs as a wireless bridge - so I can use it as a wireless
ethernet socket when I'm building PCs downstairs - i.e. no installing
wireless adaptors downstairs, etc.

However, I can't bloody do it.

I've set the WAP up with the wireless MAC address of the linksys, and
not a dicky bird. Can connect via network cable from a client to the
WAP OK, but can't connect from there to the Linksys.

Can anyone who's done it shed some light on what I need to do to get
this working?

Ric

You don't mention the model of the Airstation but I seem to remember
that early models would only communicate with Airstation products.

I don't think AP-AP is supported as standard. You'd need custom
firmware in the APs.

You could try adhoc for point to point working?
