Help: Win98 File/Printer sharing install

I have a Win98 laptop I want to add to my home network. I need to install file
and printer sharing.

When I go through the process of installing through the Add/Remove
programs/advanced/services, I get a popup that says that installation is denied
due to access permissions. How do I get past that?
