Is is possible to determine the number of minutes a user is authenticated to
the VPN? I have logging enabled, windows Authentication and accounting. As
i look at the log i can determine the time of the authentication request, for
example 7:43:53. I notice there are authentication requests all throughout
the day, for one user account, which is good: 9:46:58, 10:58:13, 13:20:57 and
finally 16:28:59. Thats all good. I was hoping there is some determination
of a disconnect? This way we can identify how long each user is
authenticated on the vpn and we can verify hours of work. If employee1 says
"i worked 8 hours and was logged into the VPN" is it possible to verify that
somehow? On the workstation and via group policy we only log failures for
authentication. I could change that as well. Any best practice or industry
accepted practice used to account for time authenticated over VPN?
