Hi all

Currently my boss has asked me to set up some thing like RAS in order to
enable her Pc at home to access to our network resources at work. That is why
I have been doing research and in my opinion VPN would be the best solution
rather than RAS, I could be wrong.
We have 5 servers:
1. Files server - Netware server
2. Groupwise email - Netware server
3. Intranet - Netware server
4. Backup - Windows 2003 server
5. SQL server - windows 2003 server.

Would you be able to tell me there is the best way to do that with our
Netware environment, mind you that next year we could move across to Windows
environment if we have enough budget .
If VPN is your answer, please and please give me any resource of how to
setup VPN
Any idea, help and reply would be definetly much appreciated

Regards

You don't mention the version of Netware you're using, but if you're using
IPX/SPX and not TCP/IP, forget all about it. An easier way to do this,
regardless, might be to configure VPN through your hardware firewall
appliance (if you have one, and I'd hope you do) so that she can use Remote
Desktop to get to her workstation in the office - presuming she's using
WinXP Pro. If not, there's always GoToMyPC. VPN alone isn't the greatest
choice to access remote resources, anyway, in my book.
