I want to do the following in my wireless network.
The wireless router is upstairs in the office. I have wireless enabled
laptops downstairs (and sometimes take upstairs) along with ethernet clients
both places and I want to be able to connect to the net with ALL clients
How should I set up my network? This is how I have it now.
The router upstairs has two clients running off the backend ports, I bring
the laptop up and work wireless of the router and I can connect downstairs
but the problem is I have two clients downstairs that need ethernet ports.
I hooked up my WAP11 to a Switch and a Hub but I can't get an IP. I have the
WAP in AP mode but I've been told that it needs to be in Bridge mode. If I
set it to bridge mode then I won't be able to connect any client
wirelessly - right? I thought I should be able to connect wirelessly
upstairs and then be on the same network but possibly cross into another AP
while maintaining the IP and the connection.
What can I do to connect wireless clients downstairs as well as
ethernet/hardwire clients to the same AP using the same network the
wireless/ethernet (wrt54g) router is using?
Thanks!!!!
