Yes you just want to exchange the speedtouch for a router w/ built in adsl
modem.
Even though the "supported" range is limited, pretty much anything will work
as long as you have a decent set of config options (which pretty much all
have). Take a lookee at models by Linksys, Netgear and D-Link, try
ebuyer.com as a starter (pretty cheap place to go).
If you want to have the PC connected by cable then make sure your router has
some RJ45 plugs on it. You also need to make sure that you're making the
right choice going with G instead of B (g is faster but more expensive). If
you are only browsing the net and printing the odd page over a shared
printer then B is absolutely fine, but if you are doing intensive file
moving between you can look at G.
