thank you for helping....

My setup:
Cable Modem
Linksys 54g broadband wireless router
PC connected by ethernet to the Linksys (98se)
Notebook connected to the Linksys via wireless (XP home)

Both can surf the internet, but they can't see each other in a home network.
I want to be able to transfer all my date to the notebook so I can rebuild the
PC to W2K.

I've read a ton of threads and tried a lot of stuff, but it doesn't work yet.
I did the home networking setup on the notebook and used the network setup
floppy on the PC.

Any ideas or good websites to look at to help me set this up right?

Thanks!

Can you use PING on each machine to see the IP address of the other
machine?

If so, your next stage is to set up Windows networking using "File and
Printer sharing for Microsoft Networks" and "Client for Microsoft
Networks".

regards
Marcus
