Hi,

I have a Netgear WGT624 router and one of the machine on my network
experiences painfuly slow internet access and timeouts. And i just
can't work out why. The machine in question is a Dell Optiplex Celeron
1700, with built in intel network interface.

The activity lights on the router flash constantly for this machine,
even when there is no activity.

Anyone have any ideas what could case this?

Hardeep.

Have you tried pinging? Open up a dos window, set ypurself up with a clean
promt eg c:\> and type ping 127.0.0.1 That will ping the machine. have a
look at the times you get back. Then try another machine on the network and
then an external address. Try a different cable and see if that improves
things.
