I recently purchased a netgear DG834g ADSl router/firewall/modem/Switch
unit as well as a Wireless Ethernet card Netgear WG311 b/g.

So far so good, Hooked up the DG834g, connected to the net from my old
Ethernet PC (has a Dlink 500tx card in it) cat 5 attached to the 10/100
port on the DG834g, (Running at Full Duplex 100mbps.) all looks great so
far.

Next hooked up the Wireless card in another PC 30 feet away, and got it
running at 54mbps to the DG834g and out through the net. (had a beer
then... i was so impressed)

Next connected the 2 pc's up so they could talk to each other, yeap can
see shares, moved a few small files no problem.

Now the fun bit, If i transfer a 100mb file from either PC to the other,
it takes up to 37 minuets to do, and from the stats on the Wireless PC, i
can't get it to perform greater than 2.6kbps , even though it says its
operating at 54mbps ?

Anyone have a few pointers for me ?

Thanks

Greg

Don't worry i've fixed it, Upgraded the DG834g from 1.05 to 2.10.22
firmware, and now were running at 98%. Takes 14 secs to dump 44mb between
machines....

You bloody beauty....
