help needed

4 machines on lan, all work on lan perfect.
1 don't access wan through router and cable
modem. It can ping ip address but not the FQDN,
"unknown host". It runs win98 se and is set up same
as 2 others. Have tried everything, appears to be
dns prob?

The DNS client on that 98 machine seems to be messed up or misconfigured.
Check the settings; if that doesn't work deinstall and reinstall your
network stack.
