I could not say for certain - the best bet would be to contact Netgear
support. It is available pre and post sales any time, day or night.
In answer to your question, disabling NAT should, in theory, allow you
to assign "global" IP addresses to machines on your LAN, providing you
own the rights to use those IP addresses. You will also need to
switch off the DCHP server on the router which is enabled by default.
Additionally, firewall rules change considerably with this set up. My
instinct would be say there is no firewall, but I am sure I read that
with the latest firmware (v1.04) it does offer some extra security
over the previous firmware version. Again, Netgear themselves would
be the best source of information.
