I have seen this with w98,w2k, and XP. Seems more specific with Outlook
Express 6.
With Outlook Express 6 ( that's what your using) go to Tools, click on
accounts, click the mail tab and click properties. Next click servers tab
and check the box at the bottom "outgoing mail server-my server requires
authentication". Click the settings button and tick the log on using radio
button and enter your account name and password.
That's how I got mine working even though I use the same account info for
both sending and receiving.
