Hi,
I have the following.... Microsoft MN700 BaseStation
Motorola SB5100 DSL Modem
Comcast HS Internet

About every 24 hours or so I loose connection to the internet. Currently
my only way to resolve the problem is to run setup on the MN700. Setup
runs fine and I'm good for about another 24 hours. I'd like to be able
to somehow trap the conditions of the BastStation when connection is lost.
I don't think this is related to the Modem or my ISP provider because all
I have to do is re-do the setup to get things going. I am running the
latest Broadband SW from Microsoft. My PC is XP - SP2. I recently
installed "32bit Monitor" that tells me when connection is lost. So far
it's been around the 3-4AM PST timeframe. I also have a TIVO connected via
the Basestation which does daily downloads but they have not occured during
the failure times so I don't think that is a factor. Any Ideas?

go into the admin page and set the client lease time to two weeks. if
this does not work, are you wired or wireless? is there anything in
Event Viewer corresponding to the time of the lost connection?

You have the same crap problem everyone else does. The router has a memory
leak somewhere and cannot handle multiple connections/port calls. This
happens a lot with people running bittorrent.

In short there is nothing you can do because Microsoft wont fix it and
abandoned the router. Call the product fulfillment center and gt your money
back.

Hmmm...I've had this base station for over a year and have never had this
problem.
