I am using SuSE Linux 9.0. I made sure all of the files are correct,
with the correct entries, hopefully! ;-). I can almost never connect
with KInternet, KPPP, or even pppd at the konsole. One time when I
tried pppd at the konsole it managed to connect with PPP, but I could
not send any information over the internet. I could ping the server's
IP address and my own IP address, but I could not ping the DNS
server's IP address. My IP was 12.10.53.90, the server was
12.10.53.248, and the DNS address is 12.10.53.2. I have attached all
of the linux configuration files. I have lived in the Wintel world
for years, the internet is the only thing stopping me from switching
to the Lintel world! ;-P. Thanks in advance. You can reply here, or
you can reply to (E-Mail Removed) TTYL!!

Attachments aren't used on the Usenet, Iguanaman, and they showed up as
4 seperate posts which are completely unintelligible.

Plain-text only. In-line only.

Try again.

Dude, nobody will help you if you post them as attachments that are
encoded. The configs are plain text, so include them in the main message
so they are seen in the body of the message.

PS. What does `route -n` say after you connect?

Arrogant?
His posts WERE uninteligable, this ISN'T a binary newsgroups (so no
attachments) and plain text only is the requirement here...

No-one's going to be able to help him if his posts are scrambled beyond
legibility, are they?

So, your complaint was?

It would be nice if I could connect. When I did connect the ONE time,
the route had the server's IP wiith ppp0 at the end. There was no
0.0.0.0 to let packets pass through! I have reposted the message as
plain text, I thought Agent would do that for me, I am new to posting!

I haven't seen a newsreader that couldn't handle attachments, but his
attachments used yEnc encoding, which seems to be the latest fad in some
binary newsgroups. Slrn can decode it.

But he is right. The files that were posted were useless. Iguanaman
needs to post text only files. No attachements.
