OK, gonna jump in with both feet, so picked a great deal on a laptop
and it came with an Asante wireless G pcmcia card. Using cable, got
great bandwidth & ready to enjoy surfing from the couch.

After I've read all the Linksys vs. Belkin vs. SMC, vs. Dlink etc.
etc. & getting nowhere, Can somebody suggest a router that will work
with this card and that is STUPID-SIMPLE so I don't have to buy
antacid tablets with my router?? TIA!!!

You can choose anyone of the ones you have mentioned and they will work.
Maybe, you should just flip a coin as that what it comes down to.

Duane,

Thanks. Any suggestions for "more simple than.....xxx" ???? CompUSSR
has those Belkins on sale for cheap this week, but they're after $50
rebate. I was looking hard at the Linksys WRT54g when everybody told
me that it was ***THE*** router to end all routers, then the Dlink
DI-614 /624 seemed to be good, but I don't really need 108mbps. G
would be fine w/ me. (total confusion)

Thanks again!!!!!!

I have been using a Linksys BEFW11S4 v1 router since 2001 with out a peep
out of it. I understand that 54g doesn't have logging, which I think is
an important feature for a router. Maybe, Linksys/Cisco will get their
act together one day concerning that issue in the firmware.

You should make sure you get a UPS/AVR to protect your investment.
