ok well its weird. i have a router hooked to the cable
modem and 3 other computers. and 1 wireless device with
is not always on. so i will go to sleep and leave 1 or 2
comps dling different things from newsgroups or whatever
and then when i wake up it only stayed connected to
internet for like 2 hours after i left it. what is wrong
with the damn router. sometimes it happens right in the
middle of the day. within minutes it will just not allow
any comps onto the internet. they all still have ip
addresses but i cant log onto the router or anything. im
using the mn-700 and ive had nothing but problems from
this POS router. someone please help me out. is it the
router or maybe is it the modem? should i call up time
warner and get a new modem? cause i had a linksys wired
router before this and it was giving me probs similar to
this too.

Turn off the modem for 3mn, then turn it back on.

Also, if the problem happens again, look immediately at
the router security logs -- it may give us enough clues
to what is going on.

I know that some of the time warner internet connections require AOL to
be open. If this is the case the Microsoft routers will not work as
well as the majority of all routers on the market. This is because AOL
refuses to use the standard 32-bit TCP/IP stack that windows comes with
& they use there own proprietary 16-bit TCP/IP stack.
