SUCCESS:

It turns out I had WEP on on the Access point and not on on the PDA. I have
turned them both off and got connected.

It does mean though that I have no security.

Rob if you are reading this can you give me some pointers as you seemed to
know about the Netgear ME102.
I tried doing like you said and entering a key into one of the boxes but it
would only allow me to choose from the letters "cbfdae" If I entered this
string it then said I hadn't chosen enough letters and that I should also
enter it into the other 3 boxes!!!

I then tried just entering it into the "passphrase" It seemed to accept the
password I entered but when I started up my PDA it didn't ask for a
password. So I deleted my network connection on the PDA and then it asked me
for a password for the VPN (I take it this is a totally different thing from
WEP?)

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Steven.

That will be because it's hexadecimal :-)

You need (I think) 10 digits.
